Sunday Stew is a Weekly Meme hosted Here at Books Devoured
Bookmark of the Week
This is not actually a bookmark but is, in fact, a piece of cloth. I had been shopping with my mom at Jo-Ann's one day, and I saw it, and instantly fell in love. It totally reminded me of my uncle's darling (albeit slightly temperamental) Tibetan terrier named Cedric (pictured below). Of course, my mother saw no reason for me to have it, since we don't have any pets - but the lady at the counter was a darling, and cut me a piece, and I now use it as a bookmark.

Around Me:
Okay, not very much has been going on around me, yet again. I did, however, go shoe-shopping last week. Actually, the truth is, I went shopping for my DAD! It's Father's Day, and in addition to that, his birthday is coming up (on the 18th of this month!). I went with my mom, who (for a mom) has some AMAZING taste. I mean, I'm not too into dressing up and what not. But I love shoes, make-up and purses/bags - and my mom has excellent taste in all those (and clothes too, me...enh!) so she's almost always my shopping partner. I bought the following beauties.
I fell in love with these heels, I felt sexy just wearing them along with my ratty screen tee, and my ratty jeans! lol :P But the next pair are the ones I ABSOLUTELY fell in LOVE with - because not only are they sexy, but incredibly comfortable as hell well.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed this week's ~Sunday Stew~, I definitely enjoyed writing it. With this, I conclude this week's Sunday Stew post! Thank you for reading, feel free to leave me any comments/feedback you may like. I wish you a blessed rest of the week, and that you'll continue to visit! :)
Those are some shoes! I would fall walking on those!
ReplyDeleteGreat Stew!! My daughter said 'awww' so many times while I was reading your post. First time was for the cute material, second for the cute puppy and third, dragging into fourth time was 'AWWWWWWWWWWsome shoes' :) She is totally a shoe girl and loves your shoes, she's six and that was her first word, shoes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for spreading the word about DREAM, I am heading over there next to sign up!! I hope you have a great week! I am really enjoying connecting with the stewsters!
Ahhhh! I Love the shoes!! I am super jealous of that first pair especially! Love love love them! Cute bookmark too!

ReplyDeleteMarynellie,
Yeah, they're pretty high heels, those shoes - but I assure you, once you're used to walking in heels, the height of the heels barely matters! Although, the second pair, having a broader heels is much safer than the first...that is also, I think, is the reason for them being so comfortable! :) Thanx for reading, and for your comment, Marynellie! :D

ReplyDeleteCici,
AWWWWW!!! Haha, sorry, I know as cliche as it might be, it's the first thing that came to mind. You need to give your darling daughter a great big hug from my end! Just six, and she has excellent taste in shoes...I'm loving this girl already! ;) Yes, the doggie is absolutely adorable, we love him. I'm loving "The Stewsters"...so that's what we are...a band of stewsters! lol :P Thanks for the lovely comment! :D

Your mom does have good taste as do you. Those are cute heels! :) It was very nice of the lady to cut that piece for you. The slightly temperamental Tibetan Terrier.. *chuckles* Cedric is adorable! :)

ReplyDeleteDear Shannon,
Ahhh, the similarities between us are endless. However, of course, you're prettier, smarter, cuter, and WAY kinder than I...but still, I love knowing how we enjoy the same things! Yes, shoes are AWESOME! I love the bookmark too,but I'm afraid it's beginning to show wear at the bottom! :S Thanks for commenting, love!

@Redd
ReplyDeleteHey Redd,
Welcome to the blog! I'm a follower now! :D I love the heels, and thank you. Cedric is temperamental because he was abused, and he still has some trust issues. But every time I see him leap and greet my Uncle with immense enthusiasm & love, like a little child deprived of the love of his parent all day long, after he comes home from work in the evening...that sight, is enough for me to love Cedric! He really is adorable! <3 Thanks for your comment, I hope you visit again! :D

First of all, is Cedric your great-uncle's dog? If so, who is taking care of him? (I'm so concerned that I also asked you on Twitter. However, my assumption is that he's your uncle's, not your great-uncle's dog.) I love Tibetan terriers, and the buff coloring is so pretty. I also like the grey/whites because they look like miniature Old English sheepdogs. So cute! Did you know that they're NOT actually terriers? Definitely an intelligent and versatile breed. He must be quite a character. Cedric seems like the perfect name for him! (Yes, we all know I'm a dog fanatic.) I imagine being a shy & intelligent breed being abused didn't help his temperament, but at least he loves your uncle--that's what matters. My one dog is temperamental and she's never been abused. She has no excuse for her actions.
ReplyDeleteI can't do heels, but I love those shoes. You have pretty feet, too! Great combo! :)

ReplyDeleteLove that bookmark -- and the nice lady who thought you should have it :)
ReplyDeleteThose heels are great -- although I know for sure I couldn't navigate in them, lol.
Fab shoes! Especially the top ones. I love peep toe.
ReplyDeleteNew follower btw.
Those are nice shoes. I haven't worn heels in years. I'd probably fall or whine about all the pain.

ReplyDeleteDarling Amy,
I commented on your SS post, and hope that you'll add your passion for doggies on your blog. Don't worry about Cedric, he's being well-taken care of! :) But thank you for your concern! :D
Thank you for thinking I have pretty feet. I like to think it's God's way of compensating me for the cankles I have! :S But thank you for your kind words.
Love you

ReplyDeleteMedeia,
Thank you so much for your comment. I love the shoes, I am very happy with my buy! :D I wouldn't wear heels every day, but I do enjoy wearing them out from time to time - very much so! Plus, I highly doubt you'd fall in them. You wrote a novel! In my eyes, that qualifies you to do just about anything in this world that you set your mind to! :D Thank you for your continued support, and for all your comments.
